This policy explains what personal information Praxis (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit this website or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain on purpose.
Who we are
Praxis provides academic and research consultation, editing and related support services. For any privacy question, use the details on our contact page.
What we collect
When you browse this website
- This website does not set cookies and has no user accounts, forms or tracking pixels.
- Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as IP address, browser type and requested pages to deliver and protect the site.
- If enabled, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and reports only aggregated statistics (for example, page views). It does not identify you or follow you across other websites.
When you contact us
- The details you choose to send by WhatsApp or email — typically your name, contact details, academic level, field of study, deadlines and a description of what you need.
- Documents you share with us, such as drafts, CVs, data or reviewer comments.
- Records of our correspondence, quotes and invoices.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a scope and quote.
- To deliver the services you have agreed to.
- To manage payments, invoices and our legal and accounting obligations.
- To keep the website secure and understand, in aggregate, how it is used.
We do not sell your information, use it for unrelated marketing, or reuse your documents for other clients.
Legal bases
Where data-protection laws such as the UK GDPR or EU GDPR apply, we rely on: taking steps at your request before entering a contract; performing our contract with you; our legitimate interests in running and securing our service; and compliance with legal obligations.
Third-party services
When you contact us through WhatsApp (operated by Meta) or by email, your messages are also processed by those providers under their own privacy policies. Our website is hosted on Cloudflare’s network. We share information with service providers only where needed to operate our business, and never share your documents with anyone outside the engagement.
How long we keep information
- Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months.
- Project documents are deleted at the end of an engagement on request, and otherwise within 12 months of completion.
- Financial records are kept for as long as the law requires.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to receive a copy of your data. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority. To exercise a right, contact us — we will respond within the time limits set by law.
Security
We use reputable, encrypted services for communication and storage and limit access to people who need it to deliver your project. No method of transmission is completely secure, so please avoid sending information we have not asked for.
Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
